Following the demise of the Sunset Junction Street Fair back in 2011, Silver Lake is losing another fest. The Eastsider reports that the Silver Lake Jubilee is heading to DTLA and is now called the Jubilee Music & Arts Festival. The festivities are taking place June 7 and 8 on a private property near Santa Fe Ave and the Sixth Street bridge.
Jack Martinez of Los Angeles Arts and Athletics Alliance (they produce the event) tells The Eastsider that the venue change "was needed to get the Jubilee off the street" since "it's really hard to shut the street down and build things over night."
No word yet on art and fashion vendors, but apply here if you're interested in exhibiting.
