While other models wish on stars and feverishly prepare for castings to get in front of a famed designer like Hedi Slimane, Hollywood-born Sidney Williams was randomly approached by him at a music fest:
"I first met Hedi [Slimane] when I was in, like, 8th grade, and it was my first year at Coachella," she reveals to Into the Gloss. "I was just walking around with my friend and her older sister [...] And I guess there was this photographer that pulled me over and he was like, 'Oh, can I take a couple pictures of you?' And I was like, 'Yeah, sure, why not?' And after he gave me a card and walked away, my friend was like, 'Oh my god, do you know who that was?' And I was like, 'No.' And she was like, 'That was Hedi Slimane!!!'"
The rest is history. After Slimane snapped her photo in Palm Springs, Williams "fell into the modeling thing" and interned for him at YSL. A Cali girl through and through, the local also tell ITG that she didn't change her style for the gig because "it wasn't a big deal" to her. Check out more interesting bits and her ultra laid-back beauty routine, which involves Cetaphil and Sun-In, here.
