Candy, Balloons, Clothes: Wildfox Brings the Party to Project

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

A main focus of Wildfox's balloon-strewn booth at Project in Las Vegas was their new line of jeans, designed in collaboration with denim guru Michelle Siwy. The collection runs the gamut from worn-in blue boyfriend styles to galactic prints to metallic finishes to rockerish black to sequins. Of particular note were a few tie-dyed styles that felt like velvet but were actually made of a super fine-wale corduroy. The collection, which will range in price from $178 to $278, will be available as of July.

The jeans, as well as Wildfox's other offerings (tees, shirts printed with sayings like "I Live Above Sunset," worn-in sweaters), hung about a space that looked like the scene of a girls' night out. Aside from the balloons, there were opened bottles of champagne and jars of candy; pink was the prevailing color choice. Take a around the booth with our gallery, above.
