SANTA ANITA—In honor of the Lunar New Year, the Westfield Santa Anita mall has decorated its space with fresh kumquat trees, a Chinese pagoda, a wishing tree and a massive, 120-foot-long dragon that has been hung above the mall's center court. Custom-made for Westfield by props company Front Line Design, it weights, along with its rig, 600 pounds; its head is six-feet tall. Westfield is hosting a Lunar New Year festival February 23th.
