When they're not designing Rihanna-approved collections, supporting rising stars or rolling out secret sample sales, Pasadena-raised sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy are busy being doing artsy things, like making fantastical films. Rodarte's design duo are also big fans of watching films, too. (Kate once revealed to Vanity Fair that her happy place is "watching Stanley Kubrick films.")
To showcase their serious cinema obsession, a while back Team Mulleavy shared their top ten Criterion Collection films, which we've decided to resurface just in time for the last of 2013's holiday veg sessions. To give you an idea of their varied taste, Jean Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast, Jonathan Demme's The Silence of the Lambs and Federico Fellini's Amarcord are all in the same list.
