Here's something to sweeten your holiday shopping, especially if you plan on hitting up deal-happy Santee Alley or Cooper Design Space's doorbusters over the next week. Starting this Friday, the LA Fashion District Business Improvement District will be doling out random acts of kindness to shoppers visiting the 100-block apparel industry hub in Downtown—and as one would expect, there's social media involved in it all, too.
From Friday, December 13th to Wednesday, December 18th, the BID's roving team of do-gooders will be gracing random visitors with free parking (you know how to find it now), giveaways, gift cards and—get this—they'll also be picking up shopping tabs, all as part of their #PayitForwardLA initiative. The BID hopes to sprinkle their holiday cheer to over 650 lucky shoppers, and a little birdie tells us you might want to stroll through Santee Alley on Sunday or find yourself in the area on Wednesday for some "blooming" surprises.
Oh, and about that hashtag: Folks who use the tag on Twitter and give a shout-out to @LAFashionDist score a chance to win a $100 gift card. 'Tis the season, indeed.
