Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.
PR maven Alle Fister got her big break when she landed a gig with online shopping destination Shopbop. Inspired by her passion for the craft, Fister set out to start her own PR firm and thus Bollare was born. The bicoastal firm boasts big-name clients like Reformation, MinkPink and Vans, just to name a few. On her down time, the juice-loving lady likes to venture to Abbot Kinney to stop by her favorite flower emporium for flowers and blooming home goods.
As we're approaching gift-giving season, everyone should know about Floral Art on the West Side. Floral Art has a gorgeous, curated selection of home goods [and] art that are all inspired by nature. I've had my eye on the rosebud vanity set for too long. My husband and I live out by the beach so we love sourcing elements for our home inspired by nature and this boutique fits the bill. They also make custom living walls, which can live in a frame, so they feel like art. We are in the process of picking the perfect place in our home for [a custom living wall]. The icing on the cool cake? They also have floral arranging classes [which are] fun to sign up for with friends or during a weekend visit with mom. Check it out, you'll love it.
