A little friendly rivalry never hurts, especially when it comes to Downtown's rising retail scene. While The Bloc (the brick behemoth formerly known as Macy's Plaza) is aiming for a grand opening date of fall 2015, Figat7th is set to unveil its highly-anticipated lineup of shops and restos by May 2014, just as as its competitor down the street starts construction.
As DTLA insider Brigham Yen reports, both Zara's and H&M's massive flagships are on schedule to open next spring. Oh, and the shopping hub will also be seeing some optical additions, as LensCrafters lands in December and Sunglass Hut is also expected to join the May openings.
That's not all: Yen also reports rumors that Figat7th's scoring luxe skincare boutique L'Occitane en Provence and potentially stealing away The Bloc's Victoria's Secret (ouch). Excited yet?
