Remember when LA-based brand BedHead got into the art of sleepwear with LACMA a few years back? Proving that museums, pajamas and fashion are clearly not strange bedfellows at all, the Santa Monica Museum of Art joined forces with the PJ label for a stylish range of artist-designed slumberwear.
The museum tapped NY-based painter Joyce Pensato, contemporary artist Raymond Pettibon (punk/post-punk fans know his work for Black Flag and Sonic Youth) and art buddies Yutaka Sone and Benjamin Weissman to create a limited-edition collection of boxers, pajama bottoms and nightshirts ($30 to $138). In addition to being made right here in LA (from comfy 100% Egyptian cotton, no less), they're also pretty prime pieces for folks who dare to do the nightwear-as-daytimewear deal or are on the hunt for non-snooze-worthy holiday giftables.
Diggin' it? They're all landing at the museum's GRACIE store tomorrow and online here.
