Larchmont's best-kept fitness secret is expanding. Sweat House, the fashion folk-favored "urban sweat lodge" founded by lifestyle guru Sophie Chiche last year, has announced not one, but TWO new locations that are both set to open in the next few weeks.
What the heck is an urban sweat lodge, you ask? It's a detox spa where anti-gym rats can burn approximately 800 to 1,000 calories simply by laying in an infrared bed and sweating their faces off for 55 minutes. Shape House claims that the movement-free workout is similar to a 10-mile run, which is pretty wild. (Learn how it works here.)
First up is the SaMo location at 1003 Broadway, where Chiche is going the Larchmont route by transforming the above 10th and Broadway home into her next perspiration palace. (This spot is set to open in just a few weeks!) Shape House's third spot will be at 1160 S Fair Oaks Ave in Pasadena and will offer more of a real studio vibe. Look out for that spot in a month or so. Take a peek at Pasadena below and stay tuned for official opening dates.
