Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Downtown, let us count the ways in which you slay us: from that uber-cool trifecta of Acne, Aesop and Ace to your epic flea market to those insane pop-ups and a new crop of creative hubs (we'll stop there), here you've got another accomplice helping you kill it. Giving some us another reason to consider a ZIP code change is the Historic Core's new witchy-chic boutique Curio, and from the looks of their Tumblr, it's all very Fairuza Balk. (We like!)
Expect to find contemporary and vintage merch for men and women, including LA labels like Gypsy Junkies, American Gold and Blood is the New Black, plus edgy-boho brands exclusive to the shop like Canada's Ovate and Texas' Sisters of the Black Moon. (Jenny Parry, are you reading?) Store owner and DTLA resident Lora Myers says the shop's name "came from the idea that I wanted to have something unique and special." Mission accomplished.
