If you're spooked by that stockpile of last year's zombie-like Halloween sweets (seriously, what's with that candy corn?), you're in for a treat. As of this week, A Real Treat in Santa Monica is giving sweet-toothed, diet-sensitive and organic-loving folks a reason to rejoice as SoCal's first-ever all-natural candy boutique.

Offering both pick-and-mix and packaged options, the shop stocks non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free confections from artisan and specialty candy makers from around the country. Yep, think chocolates, jelly beans and the rest of your holiday handout fare, minus the corn syrup, icky chemicals, food dyes and other mystery ingredients.

Got uneaten (and edible) candy? As part of Operation Gratitude, the shop's offering a sweet discount to folks who drop off their confectionary castaways for overseas troops from this Friday to Sunday.

A Real Treat is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm, Saturday from 9am to 4pm and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.
