Our Parisian pals aren't the only ones eyeing Stateside success by way of LA. Not one to mind the major temp changes, Icelandic fashion e-boutique LastaShop is the latest international transplant to showcase their emerging talents in the City of Angels.
With their e-shop's HQ in Downtown and a showroom in West Hollywood, shop owner Helga Olafsson tells us LA's laid-back, experimental style made it the perfect place to shine a light on Iceland's edgy, eclectic designers. "We were bringing in Icelandic design and felt it was important to support local manufacturers," she says. From jeweler Sheila B.'s totally gorg gems to Ziska's avant-garde threads—Lasta's proving that Björk isn't the only top-notch Nordic export to hail from their homeland.
