W Mag's November Issue Features French Expats Loving LA

LA is clearly a paradise for Parisians. (Maje, Sandro, Iro, The Kooples—need we say more?) Proving that fellow Frenchman Hedi Slimane isn't the only one culling creative inspo from Cali, W magazine's November issue reveals the City of Angels has no shortage of chic expats ready to sing the praises of their sunny Stateside home.

The fashion and culture print pub spotlights six Gallic transplants, including WalkInMyCloset.com's Ambre Dahan, former Purple mag editor Dorothée Perret and Co designer Stephanie Danan, who pledge their allegiances to everything from LA's laid-back lifestyle to its dreamy array of landscapes.

Former Joe's Jeans designer Dahan tells the mag that her style has become decidedly more Cali since settling upon LA soil: "I still wear Repettos, but now I pair them with denim shorts." Meanwhile, Silver Lake-based Perret—who tells the pub that LA's mountains and beaches convinced her to make the big move—explains that "a certain laid-back joie de vivre" shared by both cities is what sparked the idea to create her aptly-named art pub, Paris, LA.
