To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Designer Kathy Rose is LA's very own accessories genius. The jewelry maven is the creative force behind essential jewelry shop Roseark beloved by Angelenos and starlets alike. Her gallery-type space features a carefully curated selection of gorgeous baubles by the likes of Jennifer Meyer and Jessica Winzelberg alongside her own inspired creations. Rose has even utilized her artistry to create an insanely dazzling Gibson guitar. If that's not enough, Rose also lets her imagination run wild on the glossy pages of FOAM magazine as the publication's accessories editor. When it comes to handpicking pieces for her home, she puts just as much creativity into it. Here, she shares her go-to furniture shop on Beverly Blvd.
Orange on Beverly is the best furniture store in Los Angeles. The owners hand pick each piece and it's curated in the most spectacular way. I can visualize how a piece will be able to breathe in my store or home. [They have] incredible light fixtures and mirrors from all around the world. I love the energy and vibe. The whole Orange team is so helpful in helping you find the perfect piece for your space. They deliver things on spec to your space if you need and send images of items that are new if you can't make it in. Every time I go in there are new pieces that have arrived. [It's] a true gem of a place in Los Angeles.
