Okay Sherman Oaks, now it's your turn. Joining the mall makeover madness is Westfield Fashion Square, which will soon be exchanging its Mad Men-era shell (1964, to be exact) for a decidely more modern, Millennial-friendly façade and a whole host of other uber fancy upgrades. It's all part of the shopping center's major revamp plans to up its curb appeal, starting with some swanky interior upgrades that'll be revealed in November.
After landing skincare store Kiehl's, boho-chic boutique Free People, Brazil-bred jewelry and accessories shop Morana and coffee chain Starbucks to its directory earlier this year and wrapping up the finishing touches on its double-decker Forever 21, the mall's set to unveil its shiny new insides next month, including new tile, paint, lighting and indoor landscaping; upgraded soft seating areas and Family Lounge amenities; and new artwork installations. Not to worry—that kid-pleasing choo-choo train is still chugging tots and parents around on the second floor.
Oh, and Westfield also tells us they plan on adding even more retailers to their roster in the first half of 2014—we'll keep you in the loop as we get more deets. Yippee!
