Urban Outfitters is definitely flying high these days. From their Malibu mecca's major win for best new store to their much-anticipated DTLA opening to their deal-happy surplus store, the hip retailer's huge moment is far from over. Sticking with their "bigger is better" motto, the chain just inked a deal give their Westwood Village store a major size upgrade—making it their third-largest in Cali. (Malibu Country Mart's UO better watch its back.)
Landing at an easy 16,556 square feet, the giant shop will open in fall 2014, replacing their current Westwood location located just a few doors south. In the official release, the space's property manager says the building offers "original exposed brick walls, ironwork, and high ceilings to provide a highly brand appropriate space for Urban Outfitters." Seeing as the historic area is a prime spot for nearby UCLA students, we wouldn't be surprised if UO's game plan mirrors Malibu's seriously cool hangout vibes, with a Coolhaus ice cream cart, free wi-fi, Etsy merch and more.
