Macy's Is Getting The Boot From Paseo Colorado in Pasadena

Get ready for clearance sales at the Paseo Colorado Macy's. The store has been selected by Macy's corporate as one of six underperforming locations to be shut down nationwide.

Foot traffic and sales weren't the only issues. Macy's was cannibalizing its own sales with another Pasadena location about a mile away. Said a department store spokesperson, "There really wasn't a need for the customer in that area to have a second location." Discounts at the Paseo outpost begin Monday and will run through the next two months; the store will close this spring.
