Melrose Place is teaming with new boutiques—most recently, Equipment, Isabel Marant and Joe's Jeans—but there aren't too many spots to take a break between shopping stretches. Sensing a need, neighborhood resident Joshua Zad has opened Alfred Coffee & Kitchen, a stylish stop offering Stumptown beverages as well as pastries and soon, sandwiches and salads.
In a nod to the area's fashionable retail residents, Zad has outfitted Alfred staffers in Rag & Bone uniforms and the space in a chic palette of black and white. Click over to Eater for more photos and a menu.
