Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Elaine Bauer Brooks is the founder of The List Collective, a tastemaker's lifestyle and shopping guide, as well as a contributing editor at The Huffington Post and most importantly, she's a mother of two. This former TV development executive (factoid: 24's Jack Bauer was named after her) loves frequenting Otherwild, a spot on Hollywood Boulevard where she's recently scored some earrings for herself as well as a slew of home accessories.

Tucked away in the back of an unsuspecting, tiny corridor on Hollywood Boulevard is Otherwild, a little jewel box of cleverly-displayed handmade goods with tons of indie spirit. Marisa and Rachel are expert curators of the crafty, constantly uncovering and discovering local artisans from both LA and beyond. Some favorites: I love my own Kathleen Whitaker earrings, a Maricolous quilt is on my wish list and Dori Midnight Elixers. We should all be armed with 'Boundaries In A Bottle,' it may come in handy sometime.
