Melody Ehsani is kind of a big deal. The LA-born creative has been crafting statement-making accessories for years and counts Rihanna, Lauren Hill, Eve, Nicki Minaj, J Lo, Alicia Keys and Beyoncé among her famous fans. Her resume also includes a Reebok sneaker and the jewelry for fellow local Jeremy Scott's Arab Spring 2013 runway show. Last week, Ehsani took the leap from e-commerce to brick-and-morter, opening up shop for her creations—bold rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings—smack-dab in the middle of a cluster of streetwear boutiques at 424 1/2 North Fairfax.
In a genius move, the designer's linked up with the nail artists of Candy Paint, who have their own mini-salon inside the shop. As Refinery29 reports, customers can drop in to get their nails wrapped with Ehsani's prints for NCLA or to have custom designs embellished with crystals and studs painted on. Get your fix Tuesday through Saturday 10am to 7pm and Sundays noon to 6pm.
