Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Given the amount of reader feedback we've received on the matter, it's safe to say that Westfield Century City mall's decision to terminate free parking next year has officially ruffled feathers—but not everyone is on the same page.

Racked reader @Thyme says that Westfield's three-hour gratis parking "was a pleasant alternative to other parking structures that charge an arm and leg!" and @Ashlark explains that "charging people for parking at a mall will only drive more people to shop online."

On the other hand, @Denizen believes that everyone is "really overreacting" and @sc123 "cannot see how much more Westfield century city mall will charge" and that people just want to "take advantage of the free parking and window shopping." Where do you stand?
