Where This Blogger Finds Bespoke Bags in Los Feliz

Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Kristen Conahan is a freelance writer for Style Section LA, Malibu HOME Magazine, Shoptopia and others. Her blog, Style Wax Poetic, was launched to shine a spotlight on West Coast events, street style, and most importantly, emerging trends. Here, she introduces Jackie Robbins—a new boutique in Los Feliz that offers custom-made leather accessories.

"I stumbled upon this store after a delicious brunch in the neighborhood of Los Feliz. Jackie [Robbins] was sitting in the back of the shop, working away with leather and materials displayed behind her. If you're looking for a shop full of custom-made bags for both men and women, this is your place. While Jackie has amazing bags already ready-to-buy, you can also walk through the leather and she will happily pick out the piece that's perfect for you. I'm lusting after her authentic clutches, and if you need a gift for your boyfriend, their messengers are stylish and made with great quality. The best thing about purchasing a bag here is that it has a story; it's created by you."
