Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you're looking for somewhere to spend that hard-earning cash this weekend, then be sure to hit up the Connected Fashion Festival on Saturday for a massive pop-up sample sale and block party. It's all going down in a DTLA parking lot between Hope and 9th St, where local designers, bands and eateries will unite to provide Angelenos with the ultimate sartorial, audio and edible experience.
This season's bi-annual fest will feature LA labels like UNIF, Chambers, and Han Cholo, as well as Racked LA favorite Wasteland, who will be selling snazzy e-shop items and vintage pieces for up to 70% off retail.
On the entertainment front, bands like White Arrows and Wildcat! Wildcat! will offer choice tunes as partygoers nosh on bites from Mandoline Grill and Hang 10 Tacos. Ironlak will be providing live art and there will be activities organized by the World Dodgeball Society. Fun, right? See the complete participating brand and band list here; entry is $10 at the door or $5 with canned food donation.
