A Brief Chat With Mario Lopez About His Underwear Line

Mario Lopez is a man of many talents. After stealing our hearts early on as dimple-cheeked jock A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell, the LA-based actor has maintained his Hollywood presence by cutting a rug on the third season of Dancing With The Stars and landing a slew of hosting gigs, including his current spot on Extra.

The suave star has also managed to perserve a killer physique, which he graciously flaunts in the latest lookbook for his underwear line, Rated M. Lopez took some time out of his busy schedule for us to talk fashion and fitness.

What inspired you to create Rated M?
"I'd been wanting to get into the apparel industry for a long time, so underwear seemed like the perfect place to start! The team at Mad Projects Industries are true professionals with years of experience. It's a great partnership."

What are your favorite pieces from the last collection?
"I've gotta say the boxer briefs in any range. They're my go-to style!"

You're a very busy man. Where do you like to hang in LA during downtime?
"I don't have much downtime, so for me it's spending time with [my fiancé] Courtney and [our daughter] Gia at home."

Where do you shop in LA for menswear?
"John Varvatos."

Where do you work out in LA and how do you stay in shape?
"I alway like to mix it up. I love to box. I go to Wild Card Boxing Club (1123 Vine St) or Gio's Brooklyn Boxing Gym in Burbank (116 S. San Fernando Blvd). Since it's hot right now, I like to go run or swim."
