Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

At an early age, Nicole Pollard's grandmother laid the groundwork for what would later become her two favorite hobbies: traveling the globe to exotic destinations and collecting luxurious items for her home and wardrobe inspired by those travels. Now, as founder of her own luxury lifestyle firm LaLaLuxe, Nicole combines her love of travel and 'the good life' with styling, shopping and lifestyle services for an elite international clientele. She finds that personalization is the key to making her clients feel special, which is why one of her favorite local go-to spots is Monogrammit in Beverly Hills.
"My grandmother passed along to me her prized beaver and mink coats, each with her initials carefully stitched into the lining. I love monogramming because it lends a personal touch to just about anything from duvet covers to tennis bags. The chic owners of Monogrammit, Elisa and Pam, are always giving me unconventional monogramming ideas. I adore them! They'll monogram just about anything for me—pajamas, cocktail napkins, even items for pets. I recently monogrammed my boyfriend's initials on his bike bag to give his Linus bike that Martha's Vineyard look."
