Although we love style-stalking leading local bloggers like Emily Schuman, Geri Hirsch and Rumi Neely, we're always on the lookout for new talent to add to our LA blogstar arsenal. Our latest obsession is Kiara Schwartz of Tobruck Ave, whose edgy ethereal style has swiftly made fans out of brands like Nasty Gal and MINKPINK.

We cornered Schwartz at MAGIC in Las Vegas this week to hear more about how she got her start, her favorite local brands and what blogs she keeps bookmarked.

We notice that you have a hint of an accent. Where are you originally from?
"I was born in Vancouver, but grew up in Switzerland. I've been living in LA for two years now. I'm loving the sunshine!"

What are some of your favorite LA brands and why?
"I love Reformation—that's one of my top brands of all time! Their silhouettes are perfect. I also really like Vanessa Mooney because she has the best jewelry, ever. I love how every piece she makes can be layered to create a unique look. Cotton Citizen is my latest discovery. I love how soft their tees are, so they're definitely my new go-to brand for basics."

How did you get into blogging?
"I was working at a booth at a tradeshow and it was really slow, so I took the plunge and decided to create my own space on the Internet where I could share my passion for fashion, style and life in general."

You're a 2012 digital influencer at MAGIC this season. What's been your favorite part of the trip?
"I'm loving every moment of it. It's great meeting so many inspiring girls that are all doing their own thing and are all on the road to success. It's very empowering!"

Where do you shop in LA?
"I love shopping on Abbot Kinney actually, and of course Reformation on Melrose!"

What are some of your favorite fashion blogs?
"I have so many but my daily go-tos are Oracle Fox, Studded Hearts and Lookbook.nu."

What is your top tip for emerging fashion bloggers?
"Stay true to yourself, be positive and be professional. Stick to that and great things will happen!"
