Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.
Siri Garber is the president and founder of celebrity-based public relations firm Platform PR, which specializes in young breakout talent. She's been voted 'Hip Young Hollywood Publicist' by LA Confidential magazine and has also appeared many times on E! to discuss her niche market. Currently in the process of producing not one but two reality shows, Garber took a break from her hectic schedule to rave to us about Beige on Beverly Boulevard.
"Beige is one of my favorite edgy boutiques in Los Angeles. I first stumbled across it upon a recommendation by a male friend who thought the store's merchandise would suit me well. After my first visit I was hooked. Beige carries a really eclectic mix of lines that are not easy to find, from Imitation of Christ to Preen to Proenza Schouler. I bought my all time favorite pair of spike Alejandra G's from Beige and still get stopped everywhere I wear them."
