FNO/MTV Awards Overlap Could Mean Pop Stars at LA Parties

By now, most everyone with even a passing interest in shopping and fashion knows that Fashion's Night Out is a little over two weeks away. The yearly shopping party is taking place on September 6th across the country and the globe and boutiques will be staying open late for the occasion, entertaining crowds with DJs, drinks, deals and all manner of other distractions.

September 6th is also the night that the good people at MTV have decided to host their own event, the MTV Video Music Awards, which will be live broadcast from the Staples Center in DTLA. The show will begin at 8pm ET, which means 5pm PT, which means all of the young talent booked to appear, present and perform—including Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Wiz Khalifa—will be unleashed upon our city just a few hours later, ready to party. Wiz's or Miley's level of interest in FNO is unclear, but Taylor Swift pledged her support of the event in an official PSA (above) that was released yesterday.
