Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Renowned hairstylist Frank Galasso has a reputation for creating and mastering trends, earning him an extensive clientele of A-list celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kim Kardashian, Emmy Rossum and Kate Upton. In 2011, Galasso opened the exclusive Barnes & Galasso studio with his partner, celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes, in West Hollywood. Here, he fills us in on one of his go-to shopping spots.

"My favorite store is Sportie LA Sneakers. They have the best sneakers, including limited-edition selections, and all the accessories you can imagine to bling out your kicks, from metal lace plates to Swarovski crystal lace binders. It's the best place to find something one-of-a-kind, and everyone will ask you where they're from. I recently got an amazing pair of gold limited-edition Reeboks and I blinged out the laces with gold metal and Swarovski crystal plates (they sell them in packs). I love this store and I'm always wanting to stop by and see if anything new has come in!"
