In its short lifespan, the creatives behind eighties-inspired LA men's surf brand Warriors of Radness have teamed up with Opening Ceremony, Ron Herman and Dockers. Now, they've struck an even bigger deal with American Apparel—they've sold their company to Dov Charney & co.
WOR founder Rick Klotz (who's also the genius who started Freshjive) brought a couple of super laid-back buds along to American Apparel's HQ to film a quick video about the deal. Dov Charney explains it thusly: "It's about collaborating to make clothes for real....It's about sweating it out in the American Apparel sweatshop and making Rick's clothes...I imagine it might be a big disaster but we're going to give it a shot." If this means WOR will be available at American Apparel boutiques, we're all for it.
