Who knew that 8000 Sunset was worth almost $100 million? That's the amount that Houston, Texas-based real estate investment trust Weingarten paid to acquire the shopping center (tagline: "location is everything when the location has everything"), which is home to a Trader Joe's, a Crunch, a CB2 and a Burke Williams Spa as well as a Starbucks and a Veggie Grill. The company released a particularly dense, jargon-filled statement about the acquisition today.
