Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Dan Levy is one busy guy. The Canadian first came to our attention with the MTV sleeper hit The Hills After Show, where he dissected the ill-fated "relationship" between LC and Heidi Montag. Now, he's focusing on his acting career with projects like the film Admission (featuring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd) and the Lifetime original film Cyberstalker, where he starred opposite Mischa Barton. Levy's also the online correspondent for Fox Network's The X Factor and pens a monthly column for Flare Magazine (recent articles include 'The Bridesmaid Bill' and 'On Being Lonely'). On top of it all, the man's got killer style. We, of course, wanted to know where he shops—and now, the cat's out of the bag.
"It's very rare to find a one-stop men's gift shop in Los Angeles. Brightwell Men's Shop is just that—a gem of a store offering a faultlessly-edited selection of products ranging from luxury grooming supplies to statement socks, barware to walls covered in prints of Pandersleigh & Sons Cartography. If you're not yet versed in the magical hand-drawn maps of Pandersleigh & Sons, checking them out in store is well worth the visit."
