Glamhouse, Pascal Mouawad's Melrose Ave-based celebrity jewelry firm, has landed a new account: Twilight's Nikki Reed. The actress is developing her own jewelry line to debut this fall. Named Mattlin Era after her paternal grandmother’s last name, the collection is inspired by Reed's friends and family. Via a press release, she says of her creative instincts: “Some of my earliest memories are of my mother sitting behind her sewing machine making clothes for my brother and I when we couldn’t afford to buy the cool stuff that was sold in stores. When I was old enough to help we would go and buy fun colored beads to string on elastic and – voila! – I had my first ‘jewelry line.'”
Though the release doesn't specify how many pieces Reed's first capsule will contain, or the aesthetic, it does mention that one item—a rose-and-leaf bolo tie—is the collection's focal point. It's named "the Paul," after her husband, Paul McDonald. Glamhouse's other new designers include Michelle Phan and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
