LA-based label Band of Outsiders' effortlessly cool aesthetic never ceases to transfix tastemakers across the globe, which is why we're proud to call them one of our city's top talents. We dig how creative director and designer Scott Sternberg manages to continuously develop new ways to infuse his arsenal of Band sublabels with laidback looks—especially the Michelle Williams, Kirsten Dunst and Eva Mendes favored women's line, Boy. by Band of Outsiders.
For resort 2013, Sternberg turns to Bauhaus and classic California style from the '30s and '40s to present an array of demure pieces that feel nostalgic and modern all at once. Standout styles include the tropical trench and printed dress above (covered in what looks like oversized apostrophes), a canary yellow mariner top with matching skirt, a structured white jumpsuit and an always-welcomed sailboat sweater.
