Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Susana de la Rionda is an aquarius ("the sign of genius and madness") and the president and co-owner of Sloane & Tate, a line of innerwear that combines classic elements of menswear with the effortless elegance of California style. All the goods are milled and sewn locally in Los Angeles. Ooga Booga, a shop on the second floor of a nondescript building, has proven to be her newest obsession.

"I was introduced to this perfect gem by a former romantic interest while on a tour of the surrounding art galleries. Lets just say, the discovery of Ooga Booga was the best thing to come out of that relationship. Perched on the second floor of a nondescript office type building, it houses goodies from Bless, Opening Ceremony, and Diana Orving, just to name a few. It's not a one trick pony by any means—eclectic art books, vinyls, zines and accessories are sprinkled throughout the unassuming space. While you're there make sure you pick up the latest issue of Butt Magazine—your coffee table is bare without it."
