Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Jewelry designer Jeet Sohal is the woman behind Bare Collection, an LA-based jewelry and handbag line for "those brilliant, astute, refined, and enigmatic persons who inspire our lives." Since Bare's launch, Lucky, InStyle, WWD and Marie Claire have all featured Jeet's designs and clients like Eva Mendes and Courtney Cox have been snapped wearing her creations. Work aside, she loves to check out this spot in Atwater Village for all her spice needs.

"I love to go to India Sweets & Spices to buy gifts for my foodie friends. You can buy unbelievably flavorful spices in a decent bulk and make great Masala Dabba gifts (they have traditional stainless steel Dabbas there as well) customized to the taste of your friends. I also love assembling a chai kit for my friends, complete with a mortar and pestle, black tea, rock sugar and spices (my personal blend is fennel, clove, cardamom and cinnamon, but sometime I will mix it up). They also have staples like basmati rice and ghee that I stock up on at least once a month."
