Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Jennifer Matthews is the editor-in-chief of My Beauty Bunny, an award-wining cruelty-free beauty blog that she also launched. Her mission is to help you find the best hair, skin, makeup and other products that are not tested on animals. She also recently started working with Love&Leashes, a project for the Friends of LA Animal Services nonprofit. When she needs wants to shop for more cosmetics to add to her already-crowded bathroom shelves, she heads to this beauty emporium.
"As a beauty editor and beauty product hoarder (ahem...collector), I have tried A LOT of beauty products. I never get tired of trying new things, however, and that's why I love Larchmont Beauty Center. It's a small store that manages to pack in almost every type of beauty product under the sun. There are inexpensive as well as prestige products—cosmetics, hair care, skincare and perfumes galore. Plus, the sales staff are very helpful. Just let them know what you're looking for and they'll give you recommendations without being pushy. Every time I visit Larchmont Village, I find myself inexplicably pulled in, and I always find something new and fun to try."
