Where This TV Producer Goes When She Feels the Need to Spend

Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Brittany Weinstein works for EXTRA, keeping viewers up-to-date on all global celebrity happenings as one of the program's fashion and beauty producers. When she gets the urge to buy something, she likes to visit Lawson Fenning in Silver Lake. Oh, and she also has a fun blog called I Wanna Be Gwyneth.

"I head to Lawson Fenning in Silver Lake when I'm in the mood to buy something. You know the feeling: money (you may or may not have) burning a hole in your pocket and a desire to purchase something, anything. For some it's shoes or a dress or vinyl, for me it's home stuff and Lawson Fenning does just the trick. It's a superbly curated shop filled with beautiful mostly mid century or vintage-inspired furniture and lighting, along with unique objects and curiosities that always spark my interest and keep me frequenting the joint. A few of my favorite finds include a wood and brass domino set (so chic atop a stack of beautiful books), strike anywhere matches in a glass apothecary jar (cute and functional), a handcrafted wood cutting board (the perfect update to my summertime table) and a pair of bronze antler candlesticks (I'm a sucker for an interesting candleholder). They've got everything you never knew you needed but now have to have at pretty reasonable prices. Pick up a coffee at La Mill (just down the street) before heading over and you've got yourself a perfect afternoon in the bag."
