Bullseye! Target Says DTLA CityTarget Will Debut July 29

Can it be true? Whoever's running the new TargetLA Twitter account has confirmed a date for the opening of the CityTarget in Downtown LA: July 29. That's a whole lot earlier than was forecast by the property owner, who gave Downtown blogger Brigham Yen a tour of the construction space last fall. The store is being built at the FIGat7th shopping center on South Figueroa and 7th Street. Target is also opening their Westwood CityTarget on July 29th; a Beverly Connection store will arrive next year.

Update: Though TargetLA continues to Tweet that their DTLA location is opening July 29th, we can't help but think that they're confusing it with the Westwood opening. We're waiting for a correction to pop up on their Twitter stream, but so far, nothing.
