Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Lindsay Sobel Dyner has been at The Today Show for the past six years, and worked in NYC before moving to the West Coast in September 2010. She covers everything from breaking news to emerging trends to human interest stories, as well as her fair share of segments concerning the wedding world. We turned to LSD to find out where she shops for her LA summer wardrobe.

"For me, it was all about finding a place to shop. When I moved cross-country a year and a half ago my wardrobe needed a re-haul. My wool-crepe shift dresses, cashmere sweaters and high heels didn't fit in the LA sun like they did on the New York City streets. I started searching for easy-to-wear dresses, cotton tees/tanks and light sweaters that weren't being sold everywhere. In Residence, on Sawtelle, situated between Korean BBQ, ramen noodles and sushi, had exactly what I was looking for. They house a great mix of clothes, shoes and accessories."
