Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

California native Ally Ferguson is currently the brand manager for men's contemporary clothing line Field Scout. She likes to describe herself as "basically a 15 year old boy" obsessed with surfing, skating and roaming around her neighborhood, "Eastside till ya die—Echo Park." Here, she fills us in on her favorite shopping destination. Forewarning: it's kind of hard to find.
"One of my favorite shopping experiences is Sartorialoft. When you are feeling up for a bit of a scavenger hunt this should be your destination. Sartorialoft is hidden in an amazing little alleyway in Downtown Los Angeles between the Biscuit Lofts and Le Pour Haus. If you head down the alley you will find a lovely little coffee spot with a few tables outside. Reach the coffee shop and you have gone too far. Back track about twenty steps to the unmarked, smoke-tinted door and GIVE IT A TUG. Viola! The door opens and you will find yourself in an exquisitely-merchandised store that houses some of the most innovative designers in the world. This is a pricey little destination but you must stop by to see how it is curated. This hidden gem is something you would stumble across in Berlin but luckily it is conveniently located among the high-rise buildings of Downtown Los Angeles."
