Any vertically-challenged individual will tell you that finding perfectly fitted jeans is a difficult feat. For every pair of pants purchased, they have to decide whether to leave the hem as-is and endure rolling up or folding in excess fabric, or to suck it up and pay for alterations. Either way, it's not ideal.
Luckily, LA has a plethora of local denim brands that are on a mission to resolve the petite girl's sizing conundrum. Our latest find comes by way of style expert and blogger Sydne Summer, who recently raved about her new pair of shorty-friendly skinny jeans by LA-based Agave Denim.
"At 5’3, I rarely find pants that I don’t have to hem," Summer blogged. "But these skinnies fit perfectly! Plus, they’re super soft." Her pick is the Chica jean in mint ($198), which features super stretch denim and, most importantly, a petite 29.5" inseam. These also come in a rose wash. The Moda slim jean ($198) is another good one, offering a higher rise with a 30" inseam. Shop Agave online or in-store at Nordstrom or Avedon in Beverly Hills (417 North Canon Dr).
