Sandast looks like a heritage brand, but is in fact a USA-produced luxury label that launched six years ago. Inspired by the vintage army bags he found in thrift stores, designer Milan Franeta set out to produce a line of bags and belts with Italian craftsmanship and a vintage patina. Soon, his collection of totes, backpacks, messengers, weekenders and small leather goods will be available in at the brand's first-ever brick-and-morter store in Downtown LA. The grand opening of the boutique, which will be located at 1205 South Hill, is set for May 17th—but they might soft-open as early as next week.
