Rachel Roy's Trip to LA Involved Tattoos, Valentino

NY-based designer Rachel Roy recently visited LA for a little work and play, and shared a few personal snaps with The Huffington Post. In addition to enjoying the perfect weather that us locals are spoiled by year-round, she took in some business meetings (and poolside lounging) at The Peninsula in Beverly Hills, dined at Cecconi's in WeHo, visited Good Day LA, caught a Lakers game and even attended that Valentino boutique opening with her West Coast BFF, Kim Kardashian.

While all of this sounds like standard designer-in-LA protocol, one thing did catch us by surprise. Included in her photo diary was an image of a tattoo artist and this caption: "It's late night and we are headed to the heart of Downtown's Skid Row, to visit the super talented Mister Cartoon, underground tattoo artist to discuss getting my first body art EVER... as designed for me by Deepak Chopra!" So, that happened.
