After 12 years of retailing in Santa Monica, Monkie Boutique on Main Street will be closing when its lease is up at the end of the month. California Apparel News spoke with owner Alison Nitschke, who said that "competition from e-commerce and off-price stores has made business for her independent, multi-line boutique tough."
Until April 30th, merchandise will be 30 to 80% off; shop fixtures will also be for sale.
