The guest list for last night's launch party of photographer and former Vogue editor Claiborne Swanson Frank's new book American Beauty read like a who's who of the LA fashion scene. Luxury e-tailer Moda Operandi and the book's publisher Assouline invited a handful of local heroes to the stunning private residence of interior designer Ruthie Sommers, where they were treated to wine, bites and books.
After leafing through Frank's 208-page portfolio of modern American style portraits, we chatted with our friend, Decades boutique owner Cameron Silver, who remained tight-lipped about his new show on Bravo: "I can't say much, but I will tell you that you're going to love it!" We were then joined by accessories designer Kendall Conrad, who apologized to Silver for missing one of his recent dinner parties: "I'm so sorry, but I had tickets to Radiohead that night!"
Other notable guests included actress Lake Bell (who was rocking a messy top bun like a champ), actress Shiva Rose, Anna Wintour's daughter Bee Shaffer, filmmaker Liz Goldwyn and celebrity stylists Emily Current and Meritt Elliott. Purchase your signed copy of American Beauty here.
