Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

We're hooked on Hello Giggles, the West Coast online platform founded by actress/musician Zooey Deschanel, writer Molly McAleer, and today's bad ass Shopping Confidential contributor (and nail art devotee) Sophia Rossi. Each day, the trio collectively posts lady-friendly content for smart, independent, creative females. Their mantra: everything hosted on the site is for the females of our generation, so "visitors need not worry about finding the standard Boys Club content that makes many entertainment sites unappealing to so many of us." Here, the witty Rossi tells us about CHI Nail Bar, her go to source for maintaining her personal appearance.

"I have to confess to you guys that I'm not huge on personal appearance. I'm not a monster, but like, I don't have beauty routines or plan my outfits day to night. WHAT I DO IS GET MY NAILS DID! As one of the co-founders of a female driven website, nails are really important to us. We even have a daily column called Nails of the Day. While I don't go the way my partner Zooey does with nail art or Molly does with bright colors, I manage to always keep them clean and super BOSS like. CHI is your place, whether you want the basic French manicure (please don't get that) or you want dolphins swimming on your index finger. As a woman, it's your duty to get your nails done. Consider it the new accessory."
