Just when you think that you've reached the end of the blogosphere, another creative talent comes along to replenish inspiration. Our latest find comes from Echo Park-based stylist Hether Cook and her blog, Speakeasy Sunday.
Launched last December as a "present to herself," Cook tells us that her blog merges music and style (her two loves, in that order) to provide a fresh twist on the typical fashion blog. Almost daily (not just on Sundays), Cook pairs a designer item or look that she's currently coveting with a song that matches the vibe, like this unraveled fringe Isabel Marant sweater with Weezer's "I've Come Undone." Links to buy items are provided and music (ranging from nostalgic to obscure) can be listened to on the spot.
"In fashion, a classic piece never goes out of style," Cook explains. "The same goes for a good song. I guess you say I'm somewhat of a style DJ." We highly recommend reserving an hour or two to peruse this bookmark-worthy blog's archives.
