Coffee, motorcycles and clothes come together in the new Deus ex Machina boutique, open now at 1001 Venice Boulevard. The first US outpost of the Aussie cycle company is airy and industrial, with concrete and brick floors and exposed beam ceilings—the perfect backdrop for Deus' custom-built motorcycles, Temple of Enthusiasm surf boards and Deus-brand hoodies, denim, tees and jackets (as is the custom these days, there's also a carefully-edited selection of complimentary brands, including Baxter of California, Makr Carry Goods, Raen Optics and Tsovet watches). While you browse you can sip Handsome Coffee Roasters, brewed in-house.
